melodramatic, but Nat gave the story a healthy balance
between humor and drama without making it an all-out
comedy. I guess you have to have a pretty good sense of
humor to lay that still for that long in your boxers with that
much blood on you and still remain as nice a guy as Nat
(but you'll have to see the movie to know what that's all
about). On the last night of the shoot we were, ironically,
shooting one of the first scenes in the movie. Mike is
