gested at one point that everyone in the room should be
naked, to which sound guy Dave Ries responded "I will get
naked any time, any place." This never came to pass, much
to Mr. Ries' disappointment, but those were the lengths the
crew was willing to go to. For those of us kept outside, our
task was to keep quiet and stay alert. That's the basic job des-
cription of any position on the film set. But in this case it was
a little more difficult for the crew because we were kept in
the dark (literally, sometimes) for long periods of time as to
exactly what was happening behind closed doors. We just
had to be ready to jump when Nick said jump.
