Behind the Scenes of The Yellow Line October 17th, 1999 was our first day of principal photography on the feature film Five Lines and we started with the Yellow Line. Even though we knew it would be tough, that first day turned out to be even more challenging than we had ex- pected. By the time we got to the location that day, the clouds were already rolling in. We would have to keep an eye out for rain while we kept adjusting for the changes in light. It was going to be a tough day. For John Cooper, our director of photography (DP), this wasn't much of a problem. John has had extensive experience in the field and has dealt with exterior light problems often.
